Everyone has been talking about it, and wondering when it would happen: the refresh to the famed Apple line of the iMacs. Well today Apple has released the update of the iMacs and a new peripheral that might be making some noise.

Let’s start with the display. The iMac now has a high resolution: 1920 by 1080 HD  for the 21.5 inch, and a crazy 2560 by 1440 for the 27 inch. The new LED backlit display allows more light to be pushed through for each pixel, creating a stunning image. In addition, the LED backlight doesn’t take up much space, keeping the profile of the iMac thin. The display also actually wraps around the edge of the aluminum enclosure, giving it an even more refined look.

Moving on, let’s talk about the all new Magic Pad. What Apple has done here is taken the trackpad that we all love from the Macbook Pro, and made it into a peripheral device for the iMac. It is made from aluminum, and allows iMac users to experience the full set of Multi-Touch gestures. To make it even better, the Magic Pad features the same sculpted design as the wireless keyboard and sits at the same height and angle as the keyboard does.

To top it all off, the new iMac  is built with totally redesigned speakers that offer improved and clearer sound with better bass response and less audio distortion.

So finally, for all of those Apple fans that have been waiting… here it is. The all new iMac.
